Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program
The City of New Orleans has implemented a DBE Program as a race and gender neutral program to provide for the participation of business owned by socially and economically disadvantaged persons to participate in contracting opportunities with the City of New Orleans.

To connect small business owners to opportunities to sell goods or provide services to the City of New Orleans. |

To create opportunity for meaningful participation in City of New Orleans contracts for such businesses that have been certified to be owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged persons. |

The DBE participation goal for new City of New Orleans Recovery Programs shall be 35%. |
| Strategy |
MWH and the Office of Supplier Diversity will present workshops for both certified and non-certified DBEs to encourage participation and to provide information regarding the upcoming recovery projects. |
